The Middle East and the Levant are as precarious as ever. Full stop.

Not to be facetious, or cynical, but I don’t think anyone here is suddenly buying into “A New Day”.

Not yet. Not realistic.

Be the change you want to see... it's no secret Netanyahu hated this deal. So did the nutjobs like mark levin. There are always going to be powerful people that don't want peace. Patton wanted to attack Russia in 1945. One step at a time, leslie. Can't go from war to peace in a few days. The only alternative was all out victory which trump was ready to inflict. So everyone said OK. let's try this.

What a shame people did not listen to Patton, he had Stalins number clocked.

Many rightly focus on the betrayal of Yalta but Patton had the right idea a long time before that.

But we digress :)

Certainly.

It’s a start.

My point is just that. Baby steps.

Hardly just baby steps, for now. The last two years have seen leaps forward. That said, Islam seems to find a way to walk it back. Let's hope it can reform.

“Shipments to the US plunged 27% — the sixth month of double-digit declines — a slump more than offset by strong growth in sales to regions like the European Union. In total, exports to non-US destinations grew 14.8%, the fastest since March 2023.”

AI in China is equal or better than AI in America, at least according to the latest benchmark tests. Top marks go to Alibaba’s shiny new Machine. More important, in my view, along with those closer to the action (informing my view), China has the grid and “excess” power to accommodate the data centres needed for AI to take us to the Promised Land.

The list of China’s lead or dominance in other industries is long and familiar to us all.

“The consensus is Trump holds very high cards in this latest episode of trade hostilities.”

Who is this “consensus”, and how do they substantiate their claim?
