Thanks Derek. I'm new to this but learning. What are your thoughts about a shorter more focused p'cast about something that's happening right now in the moment, maybe 10 minutes tops. For instance gold sells 30 bux today. Quick boom done. I love so many of the smart people doing these and the interviews are great but 30 minutes is a very long time for someone with positions or a job. (asking for a friend)...
Nice of you to ask, JJ. I find the 10 minute quick-boom-done format to be super useful. One young guy I like who does something similar (as an interviewer) is OJ Renick on the Schwab network. He and his guests cover the big picture in 10-12 minutes and then they're done. Fast efficient and informative.
JJ: good to see you with Tony and JD. Tony and I will speak at the same conference in Vancouver in February and hook up at the speaker's dinner on Saturday night. (The speaker's dinner is always the best part of any conference!) I was on a ferry to Vancouver to meet my son yesterday, and my wife texted me that Trudeau had resigned. I was pissed cause I'd been waiting for a "hard" sign to buy CAD (regime change, as you say), and I missed it. She was wrong; only 10 million people were calling on him to resign. I couldn't take any chances that would happen again, so I bought Feb calls just to have something on. I've been SO patient waiting for CAD to set up. I've been watching OI like a hawk. Best, V

@ojrenick
Hope that's helpful.

My favorite online trader celebrities discussing markets. What a treat.
Looking healthy and fit, JJ, even with a cold.

Good stuff Victor, glad you guys are friends... hang in there Sir. Trudeau's days are numbered.
The marrow behind the writing is perpetual, always fun to see it shoot the shit live.
Very informative podcast , liked the potential upcoming Canada inflection point particularly, got me thinking
Like some viruses, Bureaucrats don't go easily, and definitely not quietly...
