CPI this morning at 8:30, Core expected .3 vs .3 and slightly lower headline due 2.7 vs 2.9. A thirty year auction at 1:00PM
In the news
SSDD internationally. Trump wants 100% tariffs on India and China, effectively a full NATO trade embargo. Oil is lower that tells you something.
Tucker will release a tell all about 911 today, five episodes dropped free once a week on X. I think by now the cover up is pretty well known, eg the controlled collapse of building 7 etc.
In baseball it is still the Jays and the Tigers, Yanks and Boston tied for third nationally both 3 games back. Dodgers Brewers and Phillies leading their divisions with a comfortable lead but the Padres are still in it. Schwarber is having a great season. Thank God for baseball.
The guy who shot Kirk got away.
In the markets
Metas are mixed. Gold a little soft. Bitcoin and Stocks are a few ticks in the green as usual. The dollar is steady.
I wrote a piece called “my 911” last year which I am reposting because after re reading it this morning, I couldn’t say any more any better.

I’ll be back later on if the markets do anything worth writing about.

"The guy who shot Kirk got away." Maybe it's "The people who shot Kirk got away." So sad.
As one who watched the WTC collapse from one block away, the day is burned in my brain. I also remember the cry back then, "Never forget." alas, my observation is that now that we are 24 years removed from the attack, essentially one generation, almost everyone has forgotten. and maybe that's the reality, memory lasts for one generation only, after that, people have become far more concerned with the here and now and their own circumstances, rather than the history. this may be the (d)evolution of man and I cannot help but recall Santayana's words, those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. is that where we are?
