Gm Paul. I say "confoming signal" if it is pro trend continues to develop like copper this morning... and a "false positive signal" is if it fails... Confirming in my lexicon is something exogenous supporting it.
Nice! I use the 'false break' as one of my signals, and depending on the market will wait for the reversal after a false break to enter. I find it allows a much tighter stop level for a better risk/reward.
And I never thought about conforming vs. confirming signals in that way; I reckon that'll be very useful for me. Thanks as always.
