Funny, the Lewis Interview reminded me of IEX, the exchange created to level the order processing. I've had on my "check it out" pile for years. Maybe today is the day.

On another note, The ADX graph should have had a NSFW warning ahead of it...;) Wow.

Gm... ADX and DMI were written by wells wilder in 1977, probaly the most use and intelligent technical indicators I know of... and the most commonly used in systematic trend following.

Algorithmic trading is between 75-85% of all trading volume (equities). HFT is a subset of that. 80-90% of flow from institutional desks goes through algos.

And really we have no insight into what they’re using as of two minutes ago. Surely they’ve upgraded to AI/agentic trading. Yep. Agentic trading is happening at top quants and crypto firms. Not much info other than it’s early stages.

I guess the argument could be made that I too have the whole book in front of me and access to other data. Sadly, I cannot process the whole of all markets in a millisecond. Yet. Really hoping for that “transcendental man” upgrade Ray Kurzweil’s been talking about for decades. Then those AI better watch out.
