A few things are becoming much clearer as the new administration is now in its third day. America is about to explode, not like a bomb, but rather a powerful creature chained up and let loose.
As if by coincidence or some invisible hand, Trump’s inauguration fell on Martin Luther King Day, a celebration heretofore misunderstood by most Americans as a holiday for black people. Which is fine. No American ever disagreed with it being fitting and proper, but blacks really do celebrate it, and the rest of the nation acknowledges it, immho. There is a difference. More on this in my vibe.
Yesterday, President Donald Trump announced an extensive AI initiative named "Stargate," involving Larry Ellison (Oracle), Masayoshi Son (SoftBank), and Sam Altman (OpenAI). The project is a private-sector commitment of up to $500 billion over the next four years: $100 billion is slated for immediate investment. Microsoft, ARM, NVIDIA, and MGX are providing technology and funding. The implication in a few words: 100,000 jobs “almost immediately” (NY Times, AP, Reuters).
Dude. This isn’t a distant rumble. This is the future arriving by parachute in your front yard. The Dems are doing what they can to slow or stop him but … if you want to see sharks, put some blood in the water.
